For your profile, load up a few classy photos of yourself. Please avoid pictures of you showing off your chest or arms. Women do NOT find this attractive and it will actually turn them off because it just shows that you’re immature and shallow. Also don’t put up pictures of you with other girls (even if you cropped her head off). This makes you look like some kind of player and won’t get you anywhere in online dating.
Next your profile text should be descriptive. Don’t simply write “I’m and easy-going guy” or “I work as an accountant.” For women, that’s really boring. If you want to meet women online you must be descriptive in your profile. Write stories about yourself that reveal your personality. Write something like, “When I’m driving on the freeway and kids make faces at me from a passing car, I sometimes make faces back.” Isn’t that a whole lot better than “I’m a fun guy?”
So, now that you’ve got your profile set up right and you know how to send out a good e-mail, It’s time to get started and meet women online.
Remember, the only point of the first e-mail is to get her to look at your profile. From there she’ll read what you’ve written and send you an e-mail back. You should exchange three or four e-mails before getting her phone number. Take the lead and write something like, “You seem like the kind of person I’d like to get to know better. Let’s talk on the phone. Give me your number. Mine is (555) 123-4567.”
Talk on the phone with her once or maybe twice. Don’t spend hours on the phone. That will come across as desperate. Talk for maybe 20-30 minutes. If you have good rapport and she seems like the kind of girl you want to meet in person, say so. Similar to above, tell her something like, “I really like you. Let’s get together for a cup of coffee next week. When are you free?”
When you ask her out, make sure you have a place picked out to meet her. Again, this is an example of taking the lead. Don’t be one of those guys that asks out a girl and then doesn’t have a plan on what to do with her. And if you can, make the location of the date interesting. Starbucks is lame and generic. Find some kind of independent coffee shop. Ideally, you should already have one where you go regularly just for fun. Or you can use anything you’ve managed to learn about her so far to pick a date location that fits her interests. This is pretty classy and lets her know you listen when she’s talking.
