4 Red-Hot PUA Openers to Get Girls Talking
Learning a few good PUA openers is always a great idea before you go out sarging. Even though I personally don’t like canned routines, sometimes you just need an opener to get the ball rolling and start that conversation.
Here are some tried and true openers:
The Female Opinion Opener – This is one of the classic PUA openers that’s been around forever. Why? Because it works.
Basically, you just need to pretend like you’re out with your buddies having a good time and some kind of conversation topic came up and you need a female opinion. Go up to a girl and tell her that you and your friends need her to settle something for you.
What kinds of things can you get a “female opinion” on? Lots.
- My friend’s girlfriend is jealous of his ex. Is she wrong?
- Who lies more? Men or Women?
- My friends and I want to know the truth. Does size matter?
- If my friend just died and his girlfriend started hitting on me, how long should I wait before I started dating her?
These are a few examples. For best results, stick with juicy topics that women like to gossip about like dating and relationships.
The Bank Robbery Opener – This is one of the most fun PUA openers out there. Basically you go up to a set of girls and you say something like, “Hey, my friends and I are about to go rob a bank down the street. Problem is, our get-away driver bailed on us. If you pick us up in 2 hours and drive us to the airport, we’ll give you 5%.”
This works because you’re obviously just joking, but it’s a fun game. Women like to play along with with things like this. You can start talking with the girls and draft up your plan together.
The best part is that it sets you up for an easy number close. All you need to do is tell her to give you her number so you can call her when “everyone is in place.” If she’s still hesitant about giving you her number, jokingly tell her that she’ll be missing out on her cut of the money. This is usually enough to push her over the edge.
The You Suck Opener – I think Mystery came up with this one. This is one of the riskier PUA openers, but it uses some strong push-pull, so it’s very effective.
Basically all you do is go up to a girl and say something along the lines of, “Hey, do you know why you suck?”
This will immediately hook her in and she’ll want to know. Then you say something like “You suck because I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to talk to you all night, but you’re so popular that your friends never leave you alone for a second.”
Then you just start talking to her.
The Flopsy Opener – Unlike the above PUA openers, this one is more natural and unscripted. The name (if I remember correctly) comes from Wayne “Juggler” Elise who noticed one day that someone was taking a pet rabbit (named “Flopsy”) out for a walk and girls just couldn’t take their attention off of it.
Basically you just notice where a girls attention is focused and you open with a comment or question about that.
For example, if you’re sitting at the mall and some girl sits down on a bench and takes a brand new iPad out of the box and starts playing with it, just say something like, “Hey is that one of those iPads? Will you show that to me?” (okay, so this isn’t the most clever thing you could say, but you get the idea)
These types of openers are the best in my opinion because they are completely natural and best of all, they don’t come across as the kind of thing you would memorize like a lot of the other canned openers out there.
Ultimately, the PUA openers you use aren’t extremely important. What’s most important is that you go for it and actually approach the woman. Simply doing that will put you ahead of the vast majority of men out there. Heck, you can even open with something as simple as “Hi, my name is Brian.” I’ve done this before, and I know a successful PUA that only uses this kind of “lame” opener.
